Everything easy for Milan: Monza shot down at San Siro

AC Milan restarts in the league: the Rossoneri scored a convincing victory against Monza 3-0 on the 16th day of Serie A. At San Siro, Pioli’s team è imposed itself with goals from Reijnders, Simic (goal on the 18-year-old’s debut) and Okafor. The Diavolo, who lost Pobega to injury, confirmed their third place in the standings behind Inter and Juventus. In contrast, the Brianzoli remain in 11th place with 21 points.

It only takes three minutes for Palladino&#39s game plan to blow up. Reijnders gets the ball, no one stops him, it doesn&#39t seem true to the Dutchman to get to the edge of the area and be able to shoot almost undisturbed: violent conclusion that passes between Di Gregorio&#39s legs for the 1-0 Rossoneri. The Brianzoli swerve, risk again on Theo Hernandez, but then finally enter the game.

Milan ceded the command of operations  to the rivals but when it restarted it hurt: Di Gregorio said no twice to Florenzi, but nothing canò on Simic, who entered a few minutes earlier in place of Pobega. At the end of the half Pulisic is denied the joy of 3-0 (and it would have been a great goal) by the crossbar.

Management resumption for Milan, which closes every space to the guests, who are rarely dangerous. At 61' Colpani has a first great chance on his feet, but Maignan with a great dive says no. At 77' Okafor closes the accounts by right at the end of a great action of Milan, triggered by Bennacer and finished by Giroud with a perfect bank for the Swiss national player. In the final Monza protests for the failure to award a penalty kick on Maric that seemed obvious, then yellow to Gagliardini (unnerved by the insults of the curve to his mother) for a bad intervention on Theo Hernandez.
