Enrico Lotito, Lazio manager and son of president Claudio Lotito, bitterly commented on Mediaset microphones on the Nyon draw that paired the Biancocelesti with German champion Bayern Munich: "It's the worst opponent that could have happened to us. The Germans are a great opponent, but we know that Champions è difficult. We will still fight until the end to have our say".
According to Lotito Jr, Bayern è fearsome mainly because of their experience: "They are experts in this competition, we hope to do well again as we have done so far. With Bayern Munich however, we will try".
Lazio has to make up ground in the standings: "In the league it didn't go so well this year but now we have a chance to climb the standings, focusing on the championship".
