Superleague, Reichart: "Clubs say no but then call me"
Bernd Reichart, Ceo of A22 Sports, the company formed to organize the European Superleague, downplayed the communiques of the many Italian and European clubs that have disassociated themselves from the new project, reaffirming their loyalty to Uefa. On the strength of the European Court of Justice ruling, Reichart è said he was confident that many will retrace their steps.
"Some of the clubs that today say 'no' have called me to explain: 'We say no, though' we are here'. Today's soccer is not è neither in love nor loyal to the bottom of monopoly".
"Today many clubs have made statements in which we continue to see the long arm of a 70-year monopoly. Do we doubt that Uefa will pressure the clubs? Give them time and let us convince the clubs. We will, we will convince the best clubs in Europe", he told Cadena Cope.
"I spoke with many clubs today, but we did not try to negotiate to make deals. Another era of dialogue begins and at some point we will communicate the clubs that will make up the Superleague. We are not going to force clubs to say today 'I am here'. We are not here to create walls. The Superleague è to unite, not to divide".
