On the penultimate NBA night before the Christmas break, six games were played that provided basketball fans with excitement. Facing the first match, the Philadelphia 76ers (20-8) triumphed with a score of 121-111 over the Toronto Raptors (11-17). Credit goes to the powerful trio of Tyrese Maxey, Tobias Harris and Joel Embiid, who were able to orchestrate an impressive 97 total points: 33 apiece for the first two, 31 for the third, who, despite missing just one assist from the triple-double, proved absolutely dominant. Among the Canadian ranks, however, Pascal Siakam’s 31 points stood out, offset by Jakob Poeltl’s 19.
The Denver Nuggets (20-10) also came out on top with a 117-122 victory over the Brooklyn Nets (13-15). The game è remained very balanced until the end, when Jamal Murray decided to take over the reins of the game, scoring an impressive 33 points. The talented Nikola Jokic with his 31 points and 11 rebounds contributed significantly to the Nuggets’ success. Among the Nets, as many as seven players scored in double figures, but the greatest contribution è was offered by Cam Thomas with his 23 points on the scoreboard. Returning to the Christmas circle, we recall that five games in a row will be played on Christmas Day, a must-see for all basketball lovers.
In the absence of Luka Doncic, the Dallas Mavericks (16-12) suffered a defeat at the hands of the Houston Rockets (14-12), losing 122-96. Alperen Sengun recorded a double-double with 25 points and 15 rebounds, while Jabari Smith contributed 21 points to the score. Olivier-Maxence Prosper è was the Mavs’ top scorer with 20 points off the bench. Meanwhile, the Miami Heat (17-12) defeated the Atlanta Hawks (12-16) 122-113, led by Tyler Herro’s 30 points and Duncan Robinson’s 27 points off the bench. Despite Trae Young’s 30 points and 13 assists for the Hawks, their efforts were not enough to win against the Heat.
The real star of the night è was Domantas Sabonis, who led the Sacramento Kings (17-10) to a 120-105 victory over the Phoenix Suns (14-14) with a triple-double of 28 points, 11 rebounds and 12 assists. De’Aaron Fox also continued to play well, scoring 23 points. On the other side, the Suns lost despite Kevin Durant’s 28 points and Devin Booker’s 24 points.
Finally, the Golden State Warriors (14-14) beat the Washington Wizards (5-23) 129-118. Steph Curry scored 30 points, including 8/13 from three-point range, and contributed to the victory along with Jonathan Kuminga with 22 points and Klay Thompson with 20 points. Jordan Poole è was the Wizards’ top scorer with 25 points, while Corey Kispert scored 18 points off the bench.
