A victory in extremis, not to lose contact from Inter's.

Juventus victorious in Frosinone, where Christmas Eve gave the Bianconeri a complex game: the 2-1 away win came only in the final thanks to Dusan Vlahovic. And the Serbian’s goal allows Massimiliano Allegri’s men to remain momentarily one point behind the leading Inter (before the Nerazzurri’s game at San Siro against Lecce). The Ciociari, on the other hand, are coming off three knockouts in their last four Serie A matches (in which they picked up just one point, against Torino).

The challenge at the Stirpe stadium began at a low pace, but was suddenly ignited on 12': è the minute when young Yildiz, in his first as a starter, invented a sumptuous play that allowed him to overcome the marking of three opponents and unload his right-footed shot at the first post behind Turati. However, the match remains open: Frosinone came close to equalizing thanks to a Barrenechea free kick and a treacherous shot by Soulé. On the other side Milik and Kostic did not take advantage of a good counterattack.

That Frosinone has all intentions to sell its skin dearly is understood però in the opening of the resumption. At 51' Monterisi took advantage of a Juventus inattention and Szczesny's somewhat too adventurous exit to serve Baez the equalizing ball. Harroui could even put the hosts ahead, who però trembled on McKennie’s crossbar. Allegri then plays the Vlahovic card in place of Yildiz, and the Serbian repays him. After severely committing Turati è it was he who signed the winning goal for the Bianconeri at 81'81; thanks to a splendid framing on an assist from McKennie. And only the Var, at 90', erases his joy of the double.
