Jorge Fossati new coach of Perù

È 71-year-old Uruguayan Jorge Fossati is the new technical commissioner of the Perù national team. He takes over from Juan Reynoso, who is paying for the selection’s disappointing results under his leadership. The'announcementè was from the local soccer federation.

Fossati è returned from winning the Peruvian championship, where he coached Universitario, which he now leaves for the national team. He previously served as coach in his country’s representative team, with which he placed third in the 2004 Copa America, and in that of Qatar, which he coached in two different seasons, 2007-2008 and 2016-2017.

Currently, after one-third of the matches played, Perù è last with only two points in the South American round of the World Cup qualifiers.
