Tim Henman is clear about Jannik Sinner

During an interview given to the microphones of "Eurosport", former tennis player Tim Henman spoke bluntly about the rivalry between Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz and his feelings ahead of the Australian Open, the first Slam tournament of the 2024 season, where the opponent to beat will still be Novak Djokovic.

"When Sinner and Alcaraz played incredible matches with each other. They are different personalities. They have similar games. I think Carlos has a little bit more versatility, but in terms of ball impact and power from the backcourt, Sinner è phenomenal. I felt the Spaniard was definitely a good step ahead of the Highlander, but the way Jannik played at the end of last year, makes me think he has absolutely closed the gap" began the former British coach.

" I know that Alcaraz has already won a couple of Slams, but for me Sinner, in the last two months of 2023, has been playing at a different level and new to him as well. I think the quality, the confidence and the belief that he won those matches, beating so many top ten players consecutively, was fantastic. Next year there will be only four majors. I would not be surprised if Djokovic wins a couple of them and if Alcaraz and Sinner win the rest. So only time will tell'"concluded Tim Henman.
