After dominating the first run, Mikaela Shiffrin è confirmed herself as the fastest also in the second by winning the Giant in Lienz. The American skier, in fact, achieved a time of 2:05.98, preceding Federica Brignone and Sara Hector, who were 38 and 45 hundredths apart, respectively. Closing out the top 5 were Canadian Valerie Grenier and Austrian Julia Scheib, distanced by 63 and 80 hundredths from the American.

In sixth place was Switzerland’s Lara Gut-Behrami (+1.21). Completing the top 10 are Slovakia`s Petra Vlhova (+1.30), Italy`s Sofia Goggia (+1.40), New Zealand`s Alice Robinson (+1.49) and Croatia`s Zrinka Ljutic (+1.52). Also finishing in the top 20 is Roberta Melesi, who placed 17th, 2.34 behind Shiffrin. Finishing among the top 30 are Asja Zenere (+3.01), Elisa Platino (+3.01) and Lara della Mea (+3.49).

Thanks to her second place in Lienz, in addition, Federica Brignone è moved to the top of the giant slalom standings at 400 points, distancing Swiss Lara Gut-Behrami by 35 points. Mikaela Shiffrin, 80 points behind the Italian, closes the podium. Also present in the top 10 are Sofia Goggia and Marta Bassino.
