In the final Cagliari attempted a final forcing and managed to find another important chance with Petagna, who was stopped by another super intervention by the former Bari extreme defender.

Thanks to this success, Udinese moved to 17 points, while Bologna failed to counter-take Fiorentina, remaining on 31 points. With the point earned, however, Cagliari è moved to 14 points, while Empoli è climbed to 13. However, both teams remain in the relegation zone.
