Carlos Sainz doesn’t beat around the bush: “In 2024 Ferrari from title”
The intentions are clear, and the medium-term goals particularly ambitious.
Carlos Sainz also wants Ferrari in the near future, and he aims to graduate as world champion in Maranello. The Spaniard, who in 2023 è was the only non-Red Bull driver able to win a Grand Prix, has spoken clearly ahead of the next Formula 1 season. And, with his contract extension è yet to be finalized, he made it clear that he sees himself still long under the Cavallino insignia.
"I am really happy to be at Ferrari and to be part of this team. I am so happy that I do not see an expiration date in our relationship. Rather, I hope to have many more years of my career ahead of me. And I would love to spend them all behind the wheel of Ferrari", explained Sainz in an interview granted to 'DAZN'. At the moment his agreement with the Cavallino expires right at the end of the 2024 season.
Hence the next goals, with the bar raised mightily already in view of next season. "My main goal è to become world champion, even better if I could achieve it in Ferrari. We have to achieve this in 2024, and I believe the possibilities exist to do it,” Sainz continued. “For the next championship, the will è è is to have a winning car. Whether we will have it è it is still difficult to determine, but I would like to show up at every race aiming for victory".
