It has been an incredible few months and the reception from President Mattarella è was the icing on the cake" added the Turin native.
"We started playing together since last season, but we never expected to reach a slam final at the first tournament in 2024, also becauseé we had not played doubles since the Us Open. This result gives you confidence and we are sure we are on the right track. We have changed several things and now we are playing more aggressively, putting a lot of pressure on our opponents. We can still improve some aspects of our game and the goal è to try to play together as much as possible. We have big goals, this year there are also the Olympics and it would be a dream to play together" commented Andrea Vavassori.
