The Words of Lindsey Vonn

Jannik Sinner's feat at the Australian Open did not go unnoticed in the eyes of Lindsey Vonn, who spoke about it in an interview on the ATP website. "I always thought it was really special that he was a former ski racer and of course è the è that we bonded – began the former skier -. & He is a pretty shy guy, but è really humble and always super nice. I think he has a great perspective on sports, and I think some of it comes from skiing. We’ve talked about it moreù times".

The Olympic champion wasn&#39t surprised by the South Tyrolean&#39s success in Melbourne: "&he&#39s a great athlete, very smart and I am not surprised that he won in Australia. In fact, I thought he would win it earlier, but è he is one who will be around for a long time. To be honest, he reminds me a lot of Roger".

"If è under pressure and he has to serve, he has a match point or something, the perspective è that if he misses the point, nothing will happen,"” added Vonn. è not like in skiing, where if you don’t take the right turn, you crash and you could get very hurt".

"So è the kind of fearlessness that drives him to put everything on the line, regardless of the situation. And that perspective, I think, è really different from most people, most athletes, and I think he uses that to his advantage".

"In the few years that I have known him, I have definitely seen his confidence level grow. He has talked about it publicly, but [he is] getting stronger physically. He is maturing, he is growing and he will only get better. I’m excited to see him continue to succeed in his career" Lindsey concluded.
