During an interview given to the microphones of the "Corriere della Sera", Italian tennis player Matteo Berrettini wanted to reciprocate the words of praise and esteem he received from Jannik Sinner during his speech at the Quirinale. In addition, the Roman player did not hide his gratitude to the South Tyrolean for his closeness during this negative period.

"I thank him so much for his words. Jannik è has been very close to me and his support has been a light in the dark for me, a hope in difficult times. Userò all this positive energy for my tennis and to do well in this season" began the Roman tennis player.

"For Italian tennis è a beautiful period. Sinner did a miracle in Melbourne and I also look forward to making my contribution. He è been very close to me after Malaga, although character-wise we are very different. We chase a dream, but I was sure that he would be able to do great things. I went through a difficult time, but also because of his words I feel very optimistic toward the near future" added Matteo Berrettini.

"Matteo has always helped me and I am grateful to him. Now, if he wanted to ask me something, I would be ready to help him, because I care a lot about him. His support during the Davis Cup, even if away from the court, for me è was fundamental" these, instead, are the words released by Jannik Sinner at the Quirinal towards his colleague.
