Six Nations: Italy, ko with regrets against England

The debut of Quesada's Italy at the Guinness Men's Six Nations 2024 involves the 57000 fans at the Stadio Olimpico in Rome, who witnessed a test of character by the Azzurri, who were able to end the first half leading 17-14 against England bronze medalists at the last World Cup. 

Coming out on top in the end were the visitors, who took advantage of an excellent start to the second half. Monty Ioane&#39s goal in minute number 85 closed the game to a final 24-27 and earned Italy a point in the standings, by virtue of the defensive bonus.

In the second half, pylon Mirco Spagnolo and flanker Alessandro Izekor made their debuts, while before the start of the match the Olympic Stadium gave Federico Ruzza a standing ovation to celebrate reaching 50 caps with the Azzurra jersey.

Italy will play on Sunday, Feb. 11, in Dublin, against defending champions Ireland.
