Milan, Luka Jovic scores heavy goals: renewal in crosshairs
Another decisive goal, again subbing in from the bench. The Serbian è an asset
After a decidedly bad start to the season, Jovic is becoming a valuable asset for Pioli. Even with Frosinone, è resulted decisive. It took him only one minute to score the Rossoneri’s winning goal. He hasn’t played as a starter since last December 2 (in San Siro, just against Frosinone, including a goal) but, when he is called upon, he makes a difference and he does it with very heavy goals that are bringing a lot of points to the Diavolo.
To date, the former Fiorentina striker has scored seven goals this season, including five in the league. Exceptional numbers when you consider that, in fact, he almost always starts on the bench. In fact, his goal average of one goal every 103' of play, è the best among all the players on Pioli’s roster. In short, Jovic has goals in his blood and he is proving it amply.
At this point, è it is clear that Milan must question the Serbian’s future. Renewal, in light of his performance in this second phase of the season, è a more than valid option. Clearly, much will depend on Giroud’s summer choices and the likely arrival of another forward. Jovic does very well as a sub but, in his heart, he hopes to also have space as a starter.
