Sofia Goggia, coach reveals: "C'è so much anger"
Sofia Goggia’s coach Luca Agazzi told Corriere della Sera microphones about the state of mind of the Italian champion after the serious injury that put an early end to the 2023/2024 season. "I did not really see what è happened because I was not at the scene of the accident, è very tried".
"It was a good period, she was skiing well and when you fall like this in training there'è always a lot of anger", explained Agazzi.
Great bitterness also for Fisi president Flavio Roda: "It always disappoints when an athlete gets hurt. Sofia, in particular was in a very positive moment: strong in sprints and also improved in giant slalom. It’ a real shame, this injury. We hope it will be resolved in the best possible way".
Giorgio Gori, mayor of Bergamo, gave Sofia courage: "What bad luck Sofia. A hug from all the people of Bergamo, get well and come back soon". He was echoed by Atalanta on X: "You will overcome this too, Sofia Goggia, we are with you".
