MotoGp, Jorge Martin warns Ducati.
Jorge Martin points out the improvements of Ducati’s rival houses
While satisfied with the best overall time achieved on the first day of MotoGp testing in Sepang, Jorge Martin admitted that he has glimpsed great improvements of Ducati’s rival Houses, so much so as to predict a season in which the Borgo Panigale bikes will not have such a marked advantage over the various Aprilia, Honda, KTM and Yamaha.
"I have seen the other bikes on the track,” are Martin’s words reported by 'Speedweek' -: the Hondas, Aprilias and Yamahas have improved a lot on the straights, even Marini was running away on the straight. In my opinion we will have to be ready becauseé we may find ourselves competing in the top positions against riders from different Houses".
Speaking then about his Ducati, the Team Pramac rider added: "The handling è good, very similar to the bike I rode last year. I think we have a little bit more power, maybe there's some weaknesses, but I can't say more. Overall, however, I really think it is a better bike".
Martin è was one of the great protagonists of the 2023 season: on the strength of 9 Sprint Races won and 4 Grand Prix won, 'Martinator' contended until the last race for the title to Pecco Bagnaia. The last race weekend, which began with the Sprint won in Valencia, then ended badly for the Spaniard, whose retirement paved the way for the Piedmontese rider’s rainbow encore.
