Another productive day for the Pertamina Enduro VR46 Racing Team at Sepang International Circuit where the first official MotoGP tests of the 2024 season are underway. Fabio Di Giannantonio and Marco Bezzecchi, riding the Fluo Stream Ducatis, both dropped below the 1.58 wall and finished sixth and ninth in the combined Day2.

Capable of a chronometric step alreadyà in the morning, Fabio signs an excellent 1'57.619, a chrono that is worth a delay of just over four tenths from the provisional P1 (Bastianini, 1'57.134 ed). 54 total laps on the eve of the’last day of work, Thursday from 10.00 local.

First on the track, Marco, immediately struggling with the first time attack of the season, files his time down to 1'57.867. Also for him about fifty laps and a slip just in the final minutes of the session at turn 7.

"I am sorry for the finish, the slip was not wanted – admitted Bezzecchi to the official channels of the team -. I’m happy with the work done, we tried different things and collected a lot of info. I’m still not completely satisfied, becauseé at the driving level I can still make a step. I am not 100 percent, but we already have some ideas in mind for tomorrow. At the moment, if things stay like this, I doné t think we will do a race simulation. I prefer to focus on tuning, but we do not exclude that we can find some good solutions tomorrow and change soì our work plan".

"I am surprised, in a positive way of course, about today – the words of Di Giannantonio -. In the morning we struggled a little bit, I tried two tires in front and I was not completely comfortable driving. We lagged a little bit on the plan, but in the afternoon we tried a modification that made us take a big step forward also in terms of quality. We went very strong, worked well and moved in the direction we wanted. In terms of dry lap, maybe we are missing a little something, but I am not worried. I am really happy with the pace and tomorrow maybe we will try a Sprint Race simulation to close this test".
