Cagliari, market: Nereo Bonato draws the balance and confesses a regret
Nereo Bonato takes stock of the winter market
Two important grafts to fight for salvation, but also a little big regret for a negotiation blurred despite the initial optimism: è this is the balance of Cagliari’s market, which the redblù sports director, nereo Bonato, commented during his speech to the microphones of 'Radiolina', local radio station.
"We made a balanced winter market – explained the islanders’ d.s. -, we had to take into account the economic parameters, thin the squad and put the right corrections to improve its quality in view of the second half of the season. The sale of Goldaniga allowed us to make important purchases".
In particular, Yerry Mina from Fiorentina and Gianluca Gaetano from Napoli arrived on the island. "We were looking for a leader for the defensive department, that of Mina è the right name,” Bonato said. Gaetano, on the other hand, brings dynamism and quality to the midfield. They will both be important in the fight to stay in A".
The regret è that of another graft for the midfield desired but not arrived: "We had put in the barrel the third shot – confirmed the sporting director of Cagliari -, but for dynamics that do not depend on us we were not able to materialize it: I’m talking about Antonin Barak. It changes little forò: we must be good at finding in those who there'è already; in the rosta rosa the characteristics we were looking for in Barak".
