Rikuya Hoshino unlocks in Doha

Big celebration for Rikuya Hoshino: he è came out on top, with a total of 274 (69 68 69 68, -14) strokes, in the 27th edition of the Qatar Masters held at the Doha Golf Club course (par 72). The 27-year-old from Japan narrowly edged out France’s Ugo Coussaud, who was second with 275 (-13) ahead of Scotland’s Scott Jamieson, who è placed third with 276 (-12).

Dane Rasmus Hojgaard lost strokes in the final round, only sixth at the end with 279 (-9) behind even Northern Ireland’s Tom McKibbin, the wooden medalist with 276 (-12), and Spain’s Jorge Campillo, fifth with 278 (-10).

Filippo Celli, for the second consecutive week the best among the Azzurri, did not è go beyond 42nd position with 286 (71 70 69 76, -2). Behind him was Guido Migliozzi from Vicenza, 49th with 287 (-1). 61st with 289 (+1) Francesco Laporta.
