New Ferrari unveiled: reactions from Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz
The new Ferrari SF-24 è was unveiled through a short video published on the official website of the Maranello-based team. The Rossa’s new single-seater will accompany Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz throughout the 2024 Formula 1 World Championship, starting on Saturday, March 2 in Bahrain.
“I really like the car – said Charles Leclerc on the sidelines of the presentation – including the white and yellow details on the bodywork. Obviously forò what I am most interested in is the performance becauseé è on the track that everything is at stake. The SF-24 promises to be less sensitive and more drivable and I would say that for us drivers è just what we need to be able to do well”.
"I expect a step forward in many aspects,” added the Monegasque -and from what I could understand in the simulator I think we are where we want to be. This season, the’goal’is always to be in front: I want to repay our fans with many good races and return to dedicate victories".
"When I saw the SF-24 for the first time I wanted to get on it and turn on the engine,” admitted Carlos Sainz, “I can’t wait to drive it on the track to verify that, as the simulator tells us, this car is the step forward we all want".
"The’goal è to have a single-seater that is more drivable and therefore consistent on the race pace, which are the basic requirements to be able to fight for victory. We drivers have done our best to give precise directions to the technicians, and I am sure that the engineers working in Maranello will have pandered to our needs. We want to give something to get excited about to the fans who supported us even in the most difficult moments of last season" concluded the Spaniard.
