Roma, Rui Patricio on deadline: a Serie A track pops up
Roma, Meret is targeted for post Rui Patricio
One of the priorities at Roma in view of the summer soccer market session will be the purchase of a new goalkeeper, since Rui Patricio will expire at the end of the season, while Svilar would not yet give the right guarantees to become the Giallorossi’s starter. Several profiles are already being evaluated by the Giallorossi management.
According to a report by "Il Corriere dello Sport", the capital club, in recent days, would be following with great interest the situation related to the future of Alex Meret. The Napoli goalkeeper, in fact, is going to expire at the end of the season, but there would be an automatic renewal clause in his contract for another year upon reaching 70 percent of appearances (at the moment è at 68 percent).
Roma, for its part, would have already established relations with the player's entourage and if the possibility of signing the 1997 class player for free opens up, the Giallorossi would already be ready to sink the blow.
In Naples, Alex Meret receives a salary of around 1.8 million euros per season, a figure definitely within reach for the capital club.
