George Russell’s statements on the sidelines of the presentation of the new Mercedes

On the sidelines of the presentation of the new Mercedes, British driver George Russell è expressed himself in no uncertain terms about his feelings ahead of the upcoming season, in which he will be called upon to make the ultimate leap in quality and become the Scuderia’s benchmark, as from 2025 Lewis Hamilton will drive for Ferrari. In addition, the former Williams è also dwelt on the weaknesses of the previous cars.

"In the last two seasons we have learned and grown as a team. It è has not been a walk in the park, but I really believe that the journey we have taken will make us stronger in the long run. The whole team has worked very hard and hopefully we have taken a step forward with the W15" began the British driver as quoted by "FormulaPassion".

"We made progress on some of the most negative features of the W14 during last year, but we still had a narrow operating window and when we came out of it the car was difficult to drive. If we can continue to expand the operating window of the car, this will give us confidence as drivers and dà the lap time will be easier to find" added the former Williams regarding the weaknesses of the previous car.

"F1 è an incredibly difficult sport. It's very complicated to win and that's why we like it so much. Every woman and man at Brackley and Brixworth is focused on reaching the top. We continue with this focus and dedication in 2024 and I can't wait to see where it will take us." George Russell closed.
