Europa League 2023-2024: Feyenoord-Roma, the probable formations

Feyenoord and Roma again take the field against each other, this time in search of qualification to the Europa League round of 16. The match, which in recent years is becoming a classic in European cups, will begin at 6:45 p.m. on Thursday night in Rotterdam and will represent Daniele De Rossi’s first ever appearance as Giallorossi coach outside the country’s borders. Important cups for both hosts and guests, as they are both far from the leaders of their respective leagues: PSV Eindhoven in the Eredivisie and Inter in Serie A.

De Rossi is expected to reintroduce a Roma with a trident, and few rotations: one of them concerns the goalkeeper with Svilar starting in place of Rui Patricio. No turn over, on the other hand, in the forwards: we are going toward the presence of Lukaku from the first minute, with the confirmed El Shaarawy and Dybala on his sides. Renato Sanches is on the bench, with Cristante and Paredes on the field along with Pellegrini.

Specular tactical scheme also for Feyenoord, which in turn plays with a 4-3-3: in attack Ueda assisted by Minteh and Paixao, in midfield Zerrouki, Stengs and Wieffer, on the side lanes Hartman and Nieuwkoop.

Feyenoord-Roma, probable lineups:

FEYENOORD (4-3-3): Wellenreuther; Nieuwkoop, Beelen, Hancko, Hartman; Zerrouki, Stengs, Wieffer; Minteh, Ueda, Paixao. Coach: Slot.

.

ROMA (4-3-3): Svilar; Karsdorp, Mancini, Llorente, Spinazzola; Cristante, Paredes, Pellegrini; Dybala, Lukaku, El Shaarawy. Teacher: De Rossi.
