Joshua Zirkzee feels ready for the big leap
The future of Joshua Zirkzee è still to be written: the Dutch striker continues to enchant in Bologna but his future is not yet certain and a lot could depend on the eventual qualification of the Felsinei in the Champions League. At the window are AC Milan and Inter, ready for a summer assault, but watch out for Bayern, the club where Zirkzee completed his youth trafilament: the Bavarians in fact boast the right of first refusal in case of transfer.
Meanwhile, to the weekly magazine 'Sportweek', Zirkzee admits to being footballly in love with the Giuseppe Meazza stadium: "San Siro è a fantastic stadium. Playing well there, against Inter or Milan, è the maximum" he said, talking about the facility where he è scored against both the Nerazzurri, last October 7, and the Rossoneri, on January 27 (both matches ended 2-2).
In the interview, Zirkzee also talked about his past at Bayern: "On campus they cuddled us, I was really happy thereì even though we were a bunch of messy teenagers. Then I had the good fortune overnight to share the locker room with players I used on the Playstation and especially to deal with Thomas Muller who helped me a lot in my transition to the first team".
Class of 2001, Joshua Zirkzee è in his second season at Bologna: at the youth level he wore the jerseys of Hekelingen, Spartaan '20, ADO Den Haag, Feyenoord and Bayern Munich, while as a professional, in addition to the Bayern uniform (first and second team), he then wore those of Parma and Anderlecht, before the transition to the Rossoblù emiliani.
