After Lorenzo Sonego's elimination, Lorenzo Musetti's adventure at the ATP 250 Doha also ends in the first round. The Carrara native, in fact, è was overwhelmed with a net 6-2 6-0 by China's Zhizhen Zhang, in a match dominated from start to finish by the Asian player class 1996.
The match immediately went uphill for the Italian, who, after surrendering his serve at 30, quickly found himself down 3-0. In the middle phase of the set, Musetti, thanks also to a few too many errors by the Chinese player, managed to partially sew up the gap, but from 3-2 on, the inertia returned in Zhang's favor, who easily closed the partial 6-2.
The second set, on the other hand, è without history, as the Asian player è was able to take advantage of the numerous errors made by the Italian and easily close the match on 6-0, gaining access to the second round in an hour and a minute of play.
Testifying to Lorenzo Musetti's extremely bad day was the fact that he lost no fewer than six out of seven turnovers. The last blue remaining in the competition è Giulio Zeppieri who will make his debut against Emil Ruusuvuori.
