Pecco Bagnaia shines on first day of testing

Francesco Bagnaia and Jorge Martin are once again the main protagonists in MotoGP, this time during official testing in Lusail ahead of the 2024 World Championship. Bagnaia, fresh from his new unofficial record at Sepang, also confirmed his strength on the Qatari track, recording the best overall time on the first day of testing with an impressive 1'52"040, showcasing his talent and great feeling with Ducati’s new GP24. Martin, just 220 thousandths of a second off the top, completes the Ducati one-two punch and is also a candidate as a protagonist for the upcoming season.
Aleix Espargarò on Aprilia takes third place, proving that the Noale-based manufacturer è one of the main alternatives to Ducati, while Maverick Viñales, also on Aprilia, takes a solid sixth place. KTM shows signs of competitiveness è with Brad Binder in fourth place, but his teammate Jack Miller è moreù delayed to 14° place. Spanish rookie Pedro Acosta continues his growth process, completing the most laps and trying to adapt to the new category.
