Chinenyeze in Civitanova until 2027
The words of Barthelemy Chinenyeze
Cucine Lube Civitanova has announced the renewal of Barthelemy Chinenyeze until 2027. “Babar” has è not been seduced by proposals from six other top teams. The Lube Volley and the 204 cm transalpine center are still in full idyll, consequential the’agreement.
Landing in Civitanova in 2022 as an Olympic champion, being named the best in his role at the Tokyo Games, after a starring year in Milan, the tall French player (class1998) bewitched insiders and fans with his ability in attack and serving after a temporal first start to settle in. Since then, Chinenyeze has not stopped, distinguishing himself through exponential growth to become a mainstay of Cucine Lube Civitanova, with whom he came close to winning two Super Cups and nurtured tricolour dreams until Game 5 of the Final series in Trento. In the current season, the Cucine central player continues to shine and just last Sunday received the award as Credem Banca MVP of January. Despite a leg discomfort suffered in the last SuperLega match with Cisterna di Latina, the athlete has since burned the bridges to return to the Champions League in Ankara by gritting his teeth and showing attachment to the jersey.
“At Lube I fit in very well and there’è harmony with the’environment. Besides, it’s always been among my favorite teams since I was a kid. When I started to love volleyball, I identified this company as one of the strongest and with the greatest appeal, I dreamed of being a part of it. The winning mentality that there’è is in this club pushes you to give more and more; expectations are high even now that è a rejuvenation project is underway. I consider very positive the first season in the red and white because we finished on the rise fighting until the end for the Scudetto, we è really missed it. Moreover, the path to the Play Offs è was epic, an overwhelming experience, incredible, because we showed great character by overturning the Quarterfinals series with Verona and coming back in the Semifinals against Milan. I am really happy to stay and I thank everyone, of course also the fans, whom I hope to find in the stands in large numbers every Sunday, home and away. I promise to give 200% to make sure that Civitanova competes for the most prestigious goals”.
