Milan, Stefano Pioli smiles: two defenders recovered
Milan, Tomori and Kalulu return to group
After gaining access to the round of 16 of the Europa League, AC Milan è already working to prepare for the next league match against Atalanta, where the Rossoneri will try to break the streak of two consecutive knockouts and regain more defensive solidity. On the occasion of the match against the Oroboci, in addition, good news arrives from the infirmary for Stefano Pioli.
According to a report from "Tuttosport", the meneghini coach would be ready to re-embrace Fikayo Tomori and Pierre Kalulu, who partially rejoined the group already on the eve of the match against Rennes. The two players are expected to continue their recovery path and permanently rejoin the team in the coming days. As for Calabria’s condition, however, Stefano Pioli will have to wait another week to have his captain available again.
Kalulu was injured on Oct. 29 in Naples with a complete rupture of the left rectus femoris tendon (and subsequent surgery on Nov. 2), while Tomori è out since the Salerno trip on Dec. 22 with a myotendinous injury of the right hamstring. Tommaso Pobega's return, however, is still far away.
