Peter Sagan, the three-time Slovak cycling world champion, "is fine". This was reported in a bulletin from the Marche University Hospital where the athlete è underwent investigations and surgery for arrhythmias.
“È an endocavitary electrophysiological study was carried out that ruled out the induction of supraventricular and ventricular arrhythmias of pathological significance,‖ the bulletin reads. È a subcutaneous event recorder was implanted that will allow monitoring of the athlete in the future".
The procedure è was performed by Professor Antonio Dello Russo, director of the Cardiology and Arrhythmology Clinic of the Marche University Hospital Company, and his team, with the presence of Dr. Roberto Corsetti, the athlete's trusted cardiologist.
