Fourth draw in a row, and many regrets looking at the standings.

Modena held back at home by a willing Spezia, and who cannot do anything but eat their hands. In fact, the 0-0 draw at the Braglia stadium represents not only the Canarini's fourth consecutive draw in Serie B, but the blown opportunity to overtake a free-falling Cittadella in the standings and put the nobler positions of the playoff zone in their sights. Instead, the Emiliani remain eighth, with Brescia, Bari and Cosenza pressing behind.

Spezia, which instead struggles to center salvation and stay in Serie B, starts well and creates the first chance of the match with Falcinelli who thwarts it. Modena makes an appearance with Gliozzi and Ponsi, but the guests resist and also make themselves very dangerous: within the same action first Esposito and then Nagy hit the crossbar. The end of the half then seems to decide the match: first Zaro severely engages Zoet, then Gelashvili is sent off for added penalties.

One would expect a resumption with a Modena on the attack, and indeed this happens. The result, però does not change. Zaro tries first, but with a header that goes over the crossbar. Then comes a splendid play by Marconi, but again the aim is not è perfect. In the final Hristov saves everything on Cauz, then Zoet confirms himself the best on the field opposing Oukhadda and Abiuso with as many miracles.
