Jannik Sinner, Matteo Arnaldi’s open-hearted coach: “He is a reference point.”
Matthew Arnaldi’s open-hearted coach on Jannik Sinner
During an interview given to the microphones of "SuperTennis", Matteo Arnaldi's coach Alessandro Petrone è expressed himself in no uncertain terms about Jannik Sinner and the importance that the South Tyrolean has had in the growth of his client, especially during the Malaga expedition in the Davis Cup finals.
"Arnaldi had the opportunity to spend a lot of time, both on and off the court, with Sinner during the Davis Cup finals. It was an opportunity he made the most of to learn as much as possible from what has now è become one of the best tennis players on the circuit" began the Ligurian player's coach.
"With Matteo I often use Jannik Sinner as a reference point. Having been lucky enough to see him, to live with him the experience of the Davis Cup è it was fundamental. In tournaments, when you are around, everyone has their own team and you can't really understand some things well, whereas in Malaga he had the chance to be with him 24 hours a day and see what he does on the court as well" continued Arnaldi's coach.
"I had said with Arnaldi that Sinner would reach at least two Slam finals this year. We are only at the beginning of the season and he has already won two tournaments, including the Australian Open winning his first career Slam" concluded Alessandro Petrone.
