After several difficulties, mainly due to suboptimal physical condition, Jacobs is finding himself. The 29-year-old blue sprinter wants to prove that he can be the fastest on the track again. To do so, he decided to move to the United States and follow Rana Reider’s training methods. Intense work to make himself ready for the Paris Olympics.

"With this program I am doing really well and my body is benefiting a lot. È it is true that for now I am forced to see others compete and hold back the urge to push my engine more, but at the same time è it is fundamental to remain calm and tranquil", his words to Sportmediaset. Obviously, the goal è to return to the roof of the world.

"È good that my opponents are convinced that I can lose the crown of Olympic champion, at least until I get to Paris. The fact that on occasion the last two world championships were won with a time over 9"80 speaks volumes and more importantly it shows that if I am healthy, I can improve on that time and more importantly win again", Jacobs’ summation. L'azzurro will return to Italy between May 18 and 19 to prepare for the European Championships in June.
