Milan, two-way race for new striker
Milan, two-way race for new striker
AC Milan è is ready to get a makeover in attack in the upcoming soccer market session. The Rossoneri, in fact, are reportedly ready to make a major investment to secure a new center forward who should take the place of Olivier Giroud and Luka Jovic, who could leave Milan at the end of the season. In recent weeks, as reported by "La Gazzetta dello Sport", there would be two profiles that would climb the hierarchy.
The first name è that of Joshua Zirkzee, author of a very good season with the Bologna shirt. The Dutch center forward would be the priority for Furlani and Moncada also for a question of acclimatization, however, we will have to reckon with the high valuation of the player (which could easily exceed 50 million euros) and the dense competition from various top European clubs, Bayern Munich above all.
The alternative to the Bologna striker, on the other hand, would be Benjamin Sesko, also the protagonist of an excellent season with the Leipzig shirt. Also in this case, Milan will have to deal with competition from several top clubs, but unlike Zirkzee, the costs of the operation could be more contained, since the Slovenian player would be valued around 40 million euros by the German club.
In conclusion, the name of Jonathan David, whose contract with Lille will expire in June 2025, remains in the running, albeit more defiled. Milan, for its part, would be willing to bet on one of the two players mentioned above, but should the right market opportunity present itself, it could decide to sink for the young Canadian center forward as well.
