Bologna-Salernitana 3-0

The march of Bologna towards qualification for the next Champions League also continues on Easter Monday: the team coached by Thiago Motta è in fact returned to winning at home (after the stop with Inter last March 9) beating Salernitana by 3-0 at the Dall'Ara, with two goals scored in the first half and one over 90'.

First half: scored Orsolini and Saelemaekers

Sailing Bologna to its second consecutive success, after the pre-stop one against Empoli in the away match, was a first half of very high intensity, in which the Rossoblù scored twice: the 1-0 was signed by Riccardo Orsolini, who on 14' collected a throw from Calafiori, controlled with his left hand getting rid of Pellegrino and, again with his left foot, sent in the goal behind Costil; the second goal came instead on 44' with Alexis Saelemaekers, whose right-footed roundabout conclusion left the French goalkeeper no chance.

Second half: Lykogiannis closes the accounts

.

Bologna scored twice in the second half as well: at 56' è però the flag of Feliciani's assistant to deny joy to Odgaard, while at 92' there were no obstacles to the validation of the goal scored on a counterattack by Lykogiannis, which effectively closed the accounts on 3-0. The three points not only consolidated fourth place but also brought the third currently held by Juventus closer: 59 points for the Bianconeri, 57 for Bologna.

Salernitana's response, on the other hand, is weak and unsuccessful, fully reflecting a disastrous 2024 so far, characterized by zero wins, two draws and nine defeats, which become ten including the Italian Cup round of 16 lost to Juve on January 4. Not even Stefano Colantuono's arrival on the bench seems to have given a jolt to a team that sees salvation getting more and more distant.
