Palladino-Fiorentina: everything seems to be done

All done, according to Corriere dello Sport: for the newspaper, Fiorentina has chosen Raffaele Palladino as its next coach. The current Monza coach would have won the competition of Gilardino (Genoa), De Rossi (Roma) and Aquilani (Pisa), and also Maurizio Sarri, who recently è parted ways with Lazio.

The lily club is reportedly finalizing the details of the contract with Palladino, which should be for two years, until June 30, 2026, including clauses for improvements and renewal linked to the achievement of certain goals.

From a tactical point of view, Palladino seems to adapt well to what should be his new reality, since in Brianza the Campania coach uses the same 4-2-3-1 module adopted by Vincenzo Italiano’s Fiorentina.

Palladino è was promoted as coach of Monza’s first team on Sept. 13, 2022, taking the place of Giovanni Stroppa, who was exonerated after Di Gregorio and his teammates found themselves at the bottom of the standings with only one point, won in Lecce, in the first six days. In his debut as coach, Palladino led the Biancorossi to their first historic victory in Serie A, winning 1-0 at home against Juventus thanks to Christian Gytkjaer’s goal.
