Sergio Perez acknowledges Ferrari’s improvements

Here are the words, reported by formulapassion.it, of Red Bull’s second driver Sergio Perez in the press conference on the eve of the three-day Japanese Grand Prix at the Suzuka circuit, the fourth round of the Formula 1 World Championship.

“Probably the way we handled the tires in Australia was not èthe best. We suffered ìto damage to the bottom during the race, and obviously è that was what affected us the most. Added to that was the penalty that put us back three positions, and that increased the tire wear because I found myself forced to try to remount”.

“Maybe in the first few races Ferrari did not maximize their package, already from Jeddah you could see forò that they had a very strong car and I think they will beà closer. McLaren is also starting to work to get the best out of the car. I think it will beà a pretty interesting year, there will be races where they will be more competitive than us and vice versa“.
