John Lloyd gives Daniil Medvedev hope against Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz
During an episode of Tennis Channel’s "Inside in" podcast, former world No. 23 John Lloyd, among other topics, wanted to praise Daniil Medvedev’s continuity in managing to reach the final stages of the major tournaments he takes part in. In addition, the former British player also wanted to dwell on the difficulties demonstrated by the Russian in the major Slam tournaments, where the 1996 class has had to surrender six times to the final stage (as è happened recently at the Australian Open against Jannik Sinner).
"Medvedev è a player with great consistency, as he è comes far in most of the tournaments he takes part in and therefore deserves kudos for this aspect. At the starting ribbons you can never forget about him or exclude him from the list of favorites to win. I enjoy watching him play, è a very special player" began the former British tennis player.
"I like the different things he does on the court, as well as when he still gets the job done despite playing meters beyond the baseline. No one talks much about him, but è he is an outstanding player. If Alcaraz or Sinner were to make a mistake, he will è definitely manage to win another Slam" added John Lloyd.
