Parma still goalless: Fabio Pecchia regrets but saves performance
Fabio Pecchia’s post-match statements
After the home loss to Catanzaro in the previous round, Parma did not è manage to go beyond 0-0 away against Sudtirol, stumbling into the second consecutive game without finding the way of goal. In the post-match, the ducal coach Fabio Pecchia bluntly analyzed the performance of his boys.
"The goal clearly è always to play to win. We came here with the right desire and enthusiasm. Especially in the first half we had so many chances to take the lead, then the pace dropped. I am happy becauseé once again the team maintained its identity, we had the desire to play and create. I am sorry becauseè we create so much and sometimes it seems that we want to go in with the ball inside the goal. The only regret è the restart right away in the 90th, it should have been avoided. The match however è was played very well" began the Parma coach to the microphones of "Sky Sport".
"As an attitude I see once again a team that I è liked. So many guys had not been in the starting eleven for a long time, I had great responses. I am delighted with the group, once again they have shown me solidityà. I like everything about how the guys are on the field. As I said after Catanzaro, we have to take cues from these matches and move forward" added the Emilians’ coach.
“The regret è that in the last two games we created so many chances, hit the crossbar and made the wrong final choices in the box. I am sorry becauseé the team always created and materialized. It’ such a moment, sometimes in the final choices you can change the course of the race. Also this però is part of the championship and our path" commented Fabio Pecchia.
