With the play offs still to come, TeLiMar has made official the arrival of a new player for next season. President Marcello Giliberti, after extending coach Gu Baldineti’s contract for two more seasons, has in fact signed strong Croatian goalkeeper Jerko Jurlina on a two-plus-year contract, thus joining multi-purpose compatriot Luka Bajic.

Born in 1999, 190 cm tall, Jurlina started playing in Zadar, moving to Mladost Zagreb in 2017. A pure talent, è she is vying to gain access to the roster of the Croatian senior national team, after twice coming close to the podium with the youth team at the Under-19 European Championship in Minsk and the Under-20 World Championship in Kuwait.

Moreù times awarded the best junior goalkeeper in Croatia, Jurlina with Mladost won two Adriatic championships, two Croatian Cups and a Scudetto. Moreover, in his seven years in Zagreb, the team è always found itself in the top three positions in the national league standings.

 "I am very happy that a mutual agreement has been found between me and TeLiMar Palermo – said Jurlina -. I have heard only the best from the club, the staff, the city and, of course, coach Baldineti. I would like to thank him and the club for contacting me, and I am very excited to come and have the opportunity to work with such a great coach. The Italian Serie A1 è a very competitive league with many great teams and players. So, the challenge è even bigger for me".
