The Danish tennis player reached the quarterfinals thanks to an epic victory over Grigor Dimitrov. " It was a very good match," he remarked to ATP Tour microphones. I think I played a very good first set, è it was very long, an hour and a half. So it è was physically demanding".
"I had already played one match today, which è was two sets, so I actually played five sets, which è was pretty brutal,& added the world number seven.
Beating Grigor, who played a good season, and last season as well, and having my rematch è a great feeling. I played very well and I am happy to beat him".
So the Dane put pressure on Jannik Sinner, who was defeated by Rune himself in the semifinals last year in the Principality: "Itè will be great. He è definitely the favorite at the moment. I have a winning record, 2-1, but let’s see how it will go ".
"He è he was definitely the player that almost nobody è could beat. I think this year only Carlos [Alcaraz] has beaten him so far, and he's the other great player this year.
