WTA Madrid: Sloane Stephens-Martina Trevisan 6-3 5-7 6-4

It's over in the first round Martina Trevisan's adventure at the Madrid WTA 1000. The Italian tennis player è surrendered in three sets to U.S. player Sloane Stephens with a score of 6-3 5-7 6-4, after a marathon of no less than three hours and eighteen minutes of play.

For the Italian, at her eighth loss in the last nine matches played in the main draw of the major circuit, è a defeat that weighs in terms of ranking since she was defending last year’s round of 16. The Tuscan, in fact, will slip è out of the top 80.
