It won&#39t just be a celebration for Inter and the Nerazzurri fans the match on Sunday at 12:30 p.m. at the San Siro, because the match of the thirty-fourth day of Serie A will be the first in the top league to be directed by an all-female trio.

Maria Sole Ferrieri Caputi will direct, who will be joined by assistants Francesca Di Monte and Tiziana Trasciatti. The referee and the two assistants were the first ever to direct a major league match together in December 2022.

It had in fact happened in Frosinone-Ternana, one of the Boxing Day matches of Serie B. In January 2023, also together, they refereed for the first time a Coppa Italia match, Napoli-Cremonese, valid for the round of 16.
