GP Spain, Pecco Bagnaia hopes for consecutive tris in Jerez
These are the words of Francesco Bagnaia to the microphones of Sky Sports ahead of next Sunday’s Spanish Grand Prix at the Jerez de la Frontera circuit, the fourth round of the 2024 MotoGP class world championship of which Pecco è title holder.
"We are looking for a way to solve this problem of vibration that makes my Ducati unpredictable. Here in Jerez I won twice with two very different bikes and I hope to do it again".
" For sure we have to find more performance – continued the Turin centaur – We had some complications in the first races, mainly because of these vibrations that you don’t know where they are coming from, è also complicated for the engineers to understand this. A way we are finding it: this bike has a somewhat different balance and we are working".
"If we were a few races from the end or halfway through the championship the delay in the standings would make me think – Bagnaia said again – but now è it is too early to worry. Of course 30 points of gap from the leader is not few. Unfortunately, we threw away a race for a contact and this did not help us but è important to be able to find the square. Here we will need; to start fast right away and get into the right rhythm. Rivals? The Ktm here last year was very strong, then the Aprilia and Vinales are very fast, especially in the latter stages of the race".
