F1, Ivan Capelli: “Newey? Hallucinating own goal”
The rumor of Newey’s possible farewell from Red Bull is raising a ruckus
The è indiscretion was enough to create real chaos in the paddock. If indeed Newey has decided that his Red Bull adventure è has come to an end, è it is clear that everything could change, especially in the Red Bull household. The 65-year-old British engineer è considered a genius and would serve any F1 team eager to try to win.
Capelli, a former driver and now TV talent, worked with Newey in the March days (1988/90): "Genius? Sì. Becauseé the car (March 1988) was really extreme aerodynamically, which è his primary vocation. Everything he does, fundamentally he has a thought that starts from there;. È his dogma", the words of Capelli himself to Gazzetta dello Sport.
The former driver of, among others, Ferrari è is convinced that Red Bull is in an extremely delicate moment: "They have put themselves in this situation, a hallucinating autogolol", the confirmation of the same Capelli who è also convinced that, if Newey were to leave Red Bull, he would take with himé all his most trusted collaborators. A tremendous blow for Red Bull.
From the "Horner" case, to Marko's anger, via Newey’s possible farewell and, who knows; maybe even Verstappen’s. Red Bull, dominant since time immemorial, seems one step away from’imploding.
