Lorenzo Sonego bows to Jannik Sinner: bitter admission

Lorenzo Sonego could do very little in the derby against Jannik Sinner valid for the Madrid tournament. The Turin tennis player è was crushed 6-0 6-3 by the South Tyrolean who took no pity on his great friend.

At the end of the match, Sonego could do nothing but bow to Sinner: "It è was not the match I expected. Jannik è in an incredible state of form and doesn’t give you chances, doesn’t give you opportunities to take over the game and not make mistakes. He does not give up on you. That is why è it was a very difficult match for me".

"I didn't have good feelings and I was a little confusing in the game. Sometimes I was in too much of a hurry, but I need this match to learn. In the first set I was trying to get out of the exchange right away and I couldn&#39t get into the match, I didn&#39t serve very well and that was a key thing against someone like him who responds very well and takes over the game".

"And then he plays at an impressive level, è for sure one of the favorites in the tournament, è the number 1 seed, è one of the fittest and he showed it. At the end of the match Jannik was obviously sorry, the bad thing è to meet so early, but the draw è was this. Now we have to work to meet again in the future in a more advanced round" concluded Sonego visibly bitter.
