Gresini Racing especially cheers Marc Marquez’s pole

Beyond the result of the Sprint Race, Saturday in Jerez will be remembered for the first pole position taken by Marc Marquez riding a Team Gresini Racing bike (and, therefore, also his first as a Ducati rider). An occasion that his new team wanted to celebrate with a cinematic comparison.

On the official channels of the Team, in fact, è appeared the "locandina" of "Being Marc Marquez", "Being Marc Marquez", which explicitly takes up the promotional one of "Being John Malkovich", 1999 film directed by Spike Jonze nominated for three Oscars and four Golden Globes, as well asé winner of a BAFTA Award (the British Oscars).

Gresini Racing's intention is to celebrate the Catalan’s 93 career poles in a special way, 93 being the number that has characterized Marquez’s own career. Marquez's last pole was in the first race of the 2023 season, raced in Portugal at the Circuit de l'Algarve: on that occasion he conquered third place in the Sprint Race, but ended the weekend with a retirement.

This season, Marquez has shown a consistent adaptation to the Ducati, twice finishing among the top three in the Sprint Races (specifically, in Portugal and Texas), while at the Grand Prix level his best result this early in the season è the fourth place he achieved in Qatar, in the first race weekend of 2024.
