NBA playoffs, LeBron James doesn’t go for it, LA Lakers win
James-Davis duo gets the better of Nuggets battleship
The excitement in the NBA playoffs continues. Down 0-3 in the series, the LA Lakers manage to win the fourth act, overcoming Denver 119-108. After as many as 11 consecutive losses to Jokic and Co. the Yellowviola break the curse, thanks to a monster effort by the James-Davis duo. LBJ finished with 30 points, his partner put up 25 points with 23 rebounds. A 33-point, 14-assist, 14-rebound Jokic was not enough for the Nuggets.
Orlando smiles as it tops Cleveland (112-89) in Game 4, bringing the series back to a perfect tie (2-2). In a match in which Banchero did not affect (nine points), it was Wagner who dragged the Magic to success with 34 points and 13 rebounds. In the Heat’s house, horrid percentages on three-point shooting. Only Allen (21 points and nine rebounds) is saved.
Nothing to do for New Orleans, which surrendered again to OKC (106-85). The usual Gilgeous-Alexander è starred in the victory for the Thunder who run away on 3-0 in the series. The Pelicans have to deal with the absence of their star Williamson. Ingram did not particularly shine and stopped at "only" 19 points.
After losing, badly, Game 2, Boston is back in control of the series with Miami. In the third act, the Celtics prevail 104-84, never allowing the Heat to think about success. So many white-collar players scored in double figures, including Tatum and Brown, both with 22 points on the scoreboard. In Miami’s house, Adebayo finished with 20 total points.
