During an intervention on the TV program hosted by Fabio Fazio, CONI President Giovanni Malagò, among the various topics discussed, dwelt on the qualitative leap made by Jannik Sinner in this first part of the season and the possibility that the South Tyrolean could sooner or later be Italy's flag bearer at the Olympic Games.
"At the Olympics there's an unwritten rule that whoever carries the tricolor must have won at least one Olympic gold medal, Jannik has never even participated in an Olympics and on this issue the best answer he has given. Then if he doesà a great result in Paris maybe in the 2028 edition he will be the next flag bearer" began the CONI president as quoted in quotes from the "Gazzetta dello Sport".
