Alberto Aquilani to Fiorentina: Pisa president speaks out on market rumors
Giuseppe Corrado already goes flat on Alberto Aquilani’s future
During an intervention on "Radio Sportiva", Pisa president Giuseppe Corrado, among other topics discussed, spoke bluntly about the future of Alberto Aquilani, who would be one of the main candidates to replace Vincenzo Italiano on the Fiorentina bench.
"Alberto has a contract with us for another year, but è it is clear that he is a guy with very clear ideas. I don’t have the slightest intention of clipping anyone’s wings. Clearly, Fiorentina is keeping an eye on him, but now he è focused on finishing the season with Pisa" as best as possible, began the president of the Nerazzurri club.
"We decided to focus on a young profile. We had been following him for some time, seeing also the great goals achieved with the purple Primavera. He was eager to make this qualitative leap and to propose his own ideas of play at a higher level. He gave a lot to Pisa in these months, we completely changed our style of play with him. He has grown so much, also understanding where to improve. It's normal that people in the industry are keeping an eye on him" added Giuseppe Corrado.
In the running for the Fiorentina bench, in addition to the former Milan and Pescara midfielder, there would also be Raffaele Palladino of Monza and Alberto Gilardino of Genoa.
